The Ratings System

Ratings are based on seniority, reputation and consumer complaints.

New Members typically start out with 20 reputation points and have an unrated status. Based on the number of weeks the new member has had no complaints lodged against him, or has shown to resolve any complaints reasonably fast and in an equitable manner, then points and subsequently the rating will increase over time.

Should a new member be known to the officers of the GDCA as reputable and should the new member enjoy a good reputation in the industry, then the initial ranking will be upgraded accordingly to Copper or Silver.

If a member fails to address or resolve valid complaints by consumers or other reputable members of the GDCA, then the ranking will be temporary reduced. Should the member still fail to address the problem to our satisfaction, demerit points will reduce the point ranking and subsequently the rating on a weekly basis.
